The Red Hill Trail

Located on Sibley Road in Center Harbor

Total Distance :(from parking area to summit) approx 1.7 miles
Difficulty Level: Easy/Moderate
Climbed July 19, 1998
Weather conditions: Fair - 70's

At the junction of Rt 25 & 25B in Center Harbor, head northwest on Bean Road for 1.4 miles, and turn right on Sibley Road (Sign for Fire Warden). Follow for 1.1 miles, and turn left. Parking is just ahead near the gate. Pass the gate and follow the old jeep road for 1/2 mile when the trail swings left and narrows. A nice day hike with excellent views of the surrounding area from the fire tower. However, a large portion of the trail is loose rock, making the descent somewhat tricky. Otherwise, the trail is well maintained, and well marked.
